Flanged Joint ductile iron pipe spools are offered in sizes 3”-64” pipe diameter and lengths up to 20’ 0” long. Flanged joints are typically utilized in above ground / exposed piping systems for applications in water treatment plants, wastewater plants, pumping and lift stations, and industrial service applications. Flanged threaded joints are not recommended for buried below ground installations.
Flanged Joint ductile iron pipe furnished by C&B Piping conforms to ANSI/AWWA C115/A21.15. The minimum pipe Special Thickness Class used is Class 53 for 3”-54” and Pressure Class 350 for 60” & 64” pipe sizes.
The ANSI/AWWA C115/A21.15 standard requires ANSI B16.1 Class 125 threaded flanges. The flanged pipe is rated for 250 psi.
ANSI B16.1 Class 250 flanges do not match the bolt hole pattern for Class 125 flanges and cannot be joined together.
Pipe may be furnished with one end flanged and the other end with matching ends for TYTON®, TR FLEX®, FLEX-RING®, MJ HARNESS-LOK, grooved, or other joints available.
